Unfortunately, traditional self-paced courses lack interaction with an SME (Subject Matter Expert). What to do when you have questions or wish to interact with your Instructor ?
STA Instructional Designers carefully created the Coached Self-Paced Training: a combination of self-study with Live-Instruction. You learn AT YOUR PACE and still INTERACT WITH A LIVE INSTRUCTOR to ask questions and guide your studies.

How Coached Self-Paced Training works:
1. Student fills out Request Form below describing training needs for Coached Self-Paced
2. Student receives an email containing registration information and payment instructions.
3. Student signs up for the training course of choice.
4. Printed material is mailed to you along with hands-on lab and setup instructions.
5. Student is sent URL containing Log-in information
6. Student logs on to the Virtual Classroom. (at this point student is already allowed to interact with his / her instructor).
7. Student proceeds to reading chapters and working on Hands-On Labs. In case of questions just contact your instructor by logging on to your virtual classroom.
8. Practical discussions takes place between Student and Instructor (Live-via Web, Live-Chat or via Message Posting using your Virtual Classroom).
9. Steps 7-8 repeat until course is finished
10.Student receives Certificate of Achievement
11. Student may or may not opt to take full Instructor-Led mode of the same course (20% off)
For how long do I have Instructor-Led Support?
The number of hours of Instructor-Led support (live and offline) is based on the duration of the in-class mode of your course of choice:

For how long do I have Instructor-Led Support?
The number of hours of Instructor-Led support (live and offline) is based on the duration of the in-class mode of your course of choice:
- Live Instructor Support via web: half an hour of Live Instruction via Web for each day of regular in-class course. For example: Introduction to VBA is a 5-day full time course. Therefore, you are allowed to 2.5 hours of Live Instructor support;
- Instructor-Led support via message exchanging: 5 days of Instructor-Led Support via message posting for each day of regular in-class course: For example: Introduction to VBA is a 5-day full time course. Therefore, you are allowed to 25 days of 24x7 Instructor support via message posting.
- In short: if you sign up for a course, whose in-class duration is 5 full-days, you will have 2.5 hours of Live Instructor Support via Web and 25 days of asynchronous support via message exchanging with your instructor. See table below which contains most common possibilities:
