About Software Training Academy (STA)

Software Training Academy (former "The Learner Centre") has its origins in the Corporate Training department of its sister-company Alliance Information Technology which has been providing IT Training and Solutions for over 12 years. While Alliance is now focused on development of Risk Management Applications, E-Commerce and corporate solutions, Software Training Academy concentrates in providing customized Corporate IT Training, always based on real-world scenarios. This is only possible because both companies work together allowing instructors to use their knowledge and skills on a daily basis providing corporate solutions.

At STA we endeavour to create an ongoing relationship with our students and fellow learners. STA recognises that learning is reciprocal and we can all learn from each other. Therefore student support is among our top most priorities and it is available through a variety of channels (read more).

The objective of a STA course is to impart knowledge and understanding as a transferable skill which can be put into immediate action following course completion. To achieve our objective we recognised the following requirements:

• Instructors must be able to provide real world analogies and examples.
• Instructors must be capable of deviating from the support materials to provide further understanding for learners and answer student questions effectively.
• Instructors must have a full appreciation of educational reasoning and approaches.
• Instructors must be keen, motivated and driven by the purpose of education and personal development. We do not select instructors purely because they are capable of doing a job!

These requirements and strict employment process means that our instructors are dedicated and subsequently our turn over of employees is minimal. This enables us at STA to ensure that our Instructors have a thorough and intimate knowledge of all course materials on which they deliver training.
